DoorDash Friendsgiving

DoorDash Friendsgiving was held in Los Angeles and was centered around creating a festive gathering to invite attendees into our DoorDash family and show them all that we have to offer as the brand that is Delivering Good. The evening was presented by Chef Sam Talbot + Food Network star Molly Yeh who lead guests through an evening of delicious eats, engaging programming, and inspiration for ways to give back to their communities. Activities included postcard writing, flower bundle making, pie & cookie baking, and dinner featured a menu curated from local DoorDash partner restaurants.

The Hosts

DoorDash Friendsgiving was co-hosted by celebrity chef Sam Talbot and chef & blogger Molly Yeh. The two led guests through activities of the evening, including a hands-on pie and cookie making demonstration, and kicked off the dinner by highlighting DoorDash’s food rescue initiative—Project DASH—that uses the company’s logistics platform to bring surplus food to local food banks.

Activities

At the postcard writing station, a set of 3 gratitude-themed postcards were filled out by attendees to send to their friends and family, and were then mailed out DoorDash. The flower station was a fun activity where each attendee learned how to create their own “mini bundle” from LA flower store Lenita by Grita. Guests learned how to make their own delicious mini pies and cookies with co-hosts Molly Yeh and Sam Talbot. Finally, all attendees were encouraged to bring canned goods to donate to the event’s food drive—all items were donated by DoorDash to a local LA food bank.
