DoorDash Guinness World Record

On March 1 at the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles, DoorDash broke a Guinness World Records for Largest Canned Food Mosaic, and created a mosaic spanning 22’ wide by 25’ tall. The activation celebrated the accomplishments of Project DASH— DoorDash’s initiative to combat food waste and hunger—as well as National Canned Food Month. All 6,853 cans used were donated to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. The mosaic illustrated an African bush elephant; the weight of 48 of these elephants, 2,700 kg, which is equivalent to the amount of food rescued and delivered to hunger relief organizations by Project DASH. As part of the activation, DoorDash also sponsored an Instagram competition which raised more than $5,000 for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
